WILD FLORA x OLIVE BLOOM
photos: alyssa sullins | design & florals: olive bloom and wild flora farm | location: lookout farm
As my first year farming with Madie on Wild Flora Farm came to a close, we decided to gather the last of the blooms before frost killed them and create a little magic. We grabbed buckets of stunning flowers, as well as rentals and decorations from our shops and homes, and went to work transforming the front of this beautiful barn into the most dreamy table-for-two!
The start was a little rocky, Madie had to heard some goats into their pen, and we had a grouping of chickens hanging out with us while we worked, but it ultimately added to the experience and made it even more memorable.
We decided on an ombre look, with brighter colors on the left and softer ones on the right, featuring bud vases and a beautiful ombre centerpiece in the middle to create a smooth color transition. I grabbed some antique lanterns from my house, and those, paired with candles and votives from both our shops, completed this cozy and rustic look. And as always, it was 100% foam-free and eco-conscious.
Alyssa, one of my favorite photographers to work with, came in and 100% understood the assignment. The photos paired with the sun setting made absolute magic!
It was such a pleasure working with one of my closest friends on her farm this summer and fall. I learned so much about the farming process and my appreciation for flowers grew tenfold, which I didnβt even know was possible! This joint project was the cherry on top of a fantastic season.
